Three make their way through the snow at a Self-Transcendence Tjarnarhlaup race on Nov 16
Three heroic runners took part in the Self-Transcendence 2 mile Tjarnarhlaup race last Tuesday, November 16.
All of the runners completed the distance which is an achievement in itself, considering that it had been steadily snowing the whole day.
Many would have given up in light of the circumstance, but the runners from the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team are not known for such behaviour, bearing in mind that it is a principle of team founder Sri Chinmoy that one should never give up!
Rúnar Páll Gígja finished first at a time of 15:56, which is marvellous achievement, given the circumstance.
