Icelandic version The participation record was equalled at the Self-Transcendence 2 mile Tjarnarhlaup race tonight, October 12, as 8 runners participated. As the days are getting shorter and shorter in accordance with the Icelandic winter, it was quite dark tonight, but conditions were otherwise good; it was still and warm. The participation record was not the only record to be broken tonight, as both Rúnar Páll Gígja and Víðir Sigurðsson set new personal records. Rúnar's time was an improvement of 64 seconds! Results were otherwise predictable; Andrés Ramón won confidently at the time 11:44. Suren Suballabhason, who now ran for the first time, came second a little over 2 minutes after Andrés.
