Nirbhasa is originally from Ireland but currently lives in Reykjavik, Iceland. He is an enthusiastic multi-day runner, having completed four times the Sri Chinmoy Self-Transcendence 3100 Mile Race - the longest race in the world.
Nirbhasa Magee from the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team won the Haustmarathon on 25 October, coming home in a time of 3:18 - his best time for quite a few years. The race started at 8am in temperature of 2 degrees Celsius, there was not such a big field compared with the half marathon which started two hours later.
Earlier this year, Nirbhasa finished third in the Self-Transcendence Ten Day Race in New York.
